Tuesday, April 21, 2009 – Langara Display and Design In House Grad Show

Come see Vancouver's fabulous new designers display their imaginative, creative exhibits at the in Display and Design Grad Show at Langara College. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 – The Secret World of Og

If you were a child of the 70's of 80's you might be familiar with this classic children's fable by Pierre Berton about five siblings who discover a secret world. Upon finding a trap door in their playhouse, the siblings embark on a journey into a secret comic book world filled with green creatures who only speak “Og.” The play continues until May 9 at the Carousel Theatre on Granville Island (1411 Cartwright St.) Check here for details and showtimes, including school matinees, or call 604-669-3410.

Thursday, April 23, 2009 –   Judith Marcuse Projects in EARTH=home

See internationally renowned choreographer Judith Marcuse's hit show EARTH=home, which tells the story about the state of the earth as seen through the eyes of nine people. Using dance, music, text and technology, Marcuse explores the environmental challenges we face. The show takes place at 12:00 pm at the Scotiabank Dance Centre (677 Davie St.), and you can find tickets and more info at the Dance Centre, by calling 604-684-2787, in person at the Tickets Tonight booth at 200 Burrard St (Tourism Vancouver Info Centre) daily from 10am-6pm, or at the door from one hour prior to the show.

Saturday, April 25, 2009 – Sing for the Cure

The GLASS Youth Choir,  accompanied by 200 singers from across North America, will be performing Sing for the Cure, a song cycle about breast cancer. Proceeds from the event go to the  BC Cancer Foundation and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Global Promise Fund. Curtain time is 8 pm at the Queen  Elizabeth Theatre (Hamilton St. and Dunsmuir St.). Sunday, April 26, 2009 - Bloc Party
